Gretchen Cliburn, PA-C, joined Family Practice Associates of Lexington in 1997. Ms. Cliburn believes in "helping the patient achieve unity of mind, body and soul to sustain a healthy lifestyle." About Physician Assistants: A Physician Assistant is a licensed health professional who practices medicine under the direct supervision of a physician. Here at Family Practice Associates of Lexington, we have offered the services of Physician Assistants (PA's) since 1992. We feel that having PA's on staff increases our ability to serve patients quickly and efficiently while ensuring quality care. PA's share the responsibility for the care of the patient with the doctor.
