FPA's new facility at 1775 Alysheba Way in the Hamburg Office Park, due to open June 2005!

LEXINGTON, KY – (September 8, 2004) – Family Practice Associates of Lexington (FPA) today announced plans to relocate its offices to Hamburg Place, Lexington’s premier office, retail, entertainment, and residential park sometime in mid-2005.

            “The move to the Hamburg area allows us greater options to serve our patients, our staff, and our community.  We look forward to new opportunities to continue our longstanding tradition of quality family care,” said Dr. Jeff Foxx, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Family Practice Associates of Lexington.

             The project features a two-story, 48,000-square-foot Class “A” medical office building developed by Family Practice Associates of Lexington. FPA currently consists of nine (9) family practice physicians and two (2) physician assistants and will occupy 18,000 square feet allowing room to expand to 12 physicians. 

            “We are thrilled at the prospect of bringing our family practice group to this vital, growing area of Lexington,” said Susan Miller, RN, FACMPE, Administrator, FPA.

            Central Baptist Hospital will operate a diagnostic facility, occupational medicine and rehabilitation therapy services in a portion of the building.  The project is slated to break ground this month and be completed by May 2005. 

Miller-Valentine Group, a Dayton, Ohio-based, commercial real estate development and construction firm is general contractor for the project.  This will be the first Class “A” medical office building at Hamburg Place.  

            Miller-Valentine Group also will collaborate with Family Practice Associates of Lexington on the development of a 22,000-square-foot, single-story medical office condominium facility to be constructed adjacent to the FPA facility.  Construction will start later this month and be completed by April 2005.

            “We have been extremely impressed with similar projects that Miller-Valentine Group has done specifically in the medical community and are looking forward to the possibility of a long-term relationship with them in the development of the medical presence at Hamburg Place,” said Dr. Keith Applegate, FPA physician.
